Community Grants

In 2000, we expanded our reach and embraced a Community Grants program.  Each year the Board evaluates opportunities to partner with other non-profit organizations in improving the health and education of Mississippi’s children.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mississippi has awarded a total of $450,000 to fund twenty projects across the state. These projects have had an impact on over 200,000 children and families.

2015-2016 Community Grants

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mississippi Board of Directors is pleased to partner with three agencies in improving the well-being of children across the state of Mississippi. Financial support totaling $26,860 has been awarded for the 2015-2016 project year.

Memorial Hospital at Gulfport Foundation

  • Mississippi’s First Breast Milk Collection Center — Funding for this project gives babies hospitalized within the neonatal intensive care unit immediate accessibility to breast milk.

MS SIDS & Infant Safety Alliance

  • Cribs for Kids & Baby Basics — Funding of this statewide project provides cribs and basic supplies for infants which help lower Mississippi’s infant mortality rate.

Children’s of Mississippi

  • Safe Sleep and Child Safety Education — This stateside project educates at-risk mothers in basic infant care and safety, as well as provides equipment and supplies to implement newly-learned knowledge. A baby shower inspired setting offers a unique environment for learning.
