#Keepingfamiliesclose sometimes means being there for the single-most-important day of a family’s life. . .
When Kelsey and Drew found out they were expecting a baby, they were ecstatic! Upon finding out the baby was a girl, they knew her name would be Maley. Kelsey had a normal pregnancy until being sent to a high-risk specialist at 26 weeks for high blood pressure. Her visit resulted in her being admitted to the hospital immediately.
Maley was in distress from loss of fluid around her and had only grown to be 23 weeks in size. Three days after being admitted to the hospital, Kelsey delivered Maley weighing 1 lb. 1 oz.
When discharged from the hospital, Kelsey and Drew checked-in to Ronald McDonald House in Jackson. On the very same night, Maley took a turn for the worse and passed away.
Kelsey says, “Maley was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for taking us in and opening your arms. The bracelet around Maley’s arm is my engagement ring.”
